There are basically two types of liquid inkjet technologies used in Digital Printing Business namely Drop-on demand printing and Continuous printing. In the drop-on-demand printing, droplets of ink are released for printing by applying pressure on the nozzle chamber. In the continuous printing the stream is continuously under pressure forming a flow of ink droplets. The droplets required for printing are sent to the media while the excess droplets are recycled. It is mostly used for personalized printing.
