Helping with Heating and Cooling Cost in Your Home
We recently purchased a very old house. The house is from the 1800′s and is very sturdy and built well. There have been some updates to it and it is modern compared to houses from back then. It has two bathrooms and the laundry room is on the first floor. I think this is what we liked the most about this house; it is old but has many modern conveniences. The one thing that a house this old is lacking is insulation. The attic is not well insulated and this makes the rest of the house cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This causes our bill to go up in both summer and winter. In the spring and fall, it is not too bad. We were searching to put in insulation and were going to go with the insulation that comes in sheets when we came across spray foam insulation. It is healthier for you and helps to prevent mold and mildew growth and we have decided this would be the best for us.
